Hale Alaula, Elegant Hawaiian Home at exclusive Sunset Drive

This was a great stay. House has everything you need including great beach toys, a cooler, snorkelling gear and even bikes for the kids. Kitchen is very well appointed. The location on the golf course is great. Great indoor, outdoor living space and had a few bbq’s! Really close to the shops in Princeville as well as local beaches!

We loved this home and found it better than the pictures - and that rarely happens. We liked the extra space- a large kitchen and the outdoor space was perfect. Plenty of room for four people to sit in the shade - eat and relax outside under cover. Looking out onto the first hole of the golf course was surprisingly pleasant with open views for perhaps a half hour mile across the course. We golfed at the golf course which was very convenient. In particular the beds were very comfortable and when we arrived the place was spotless. You wont be disappointed if you rent this home .

This was a wonderful rental house and perfect for our group of five (two parents, one grandparent, two kids). The house is spacious and thoughtfully laid out, with a large open living room/dining room/kitchen area. The kitchen was large enough to accommodate all three adults at once (rare for a rental) and the kids loved the long breakfast bar. The bedrooms are comfortable with large closets, and having three full bathrooms was very helpful. We appreciated the layout that afforded everyone their own space, with no bedrooms right on top of each other. The bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on, and my only regret is that I forgot to take a picture of the brand so that I can immediately buy one for my own house. I will note that the mattress on the pull-out couch would probably not have been comfortable for adults, but my four-year-old had no complaints. The kitchen was well-equipped; having a coffee grinder was particularly welcome so that we could buy whole bean coffee at Costco before our arrival. The appliances were higher end than you generally see in a rental, which was great for our family who loves to cook. There are more beach chairs, sand toys, and pool floaties than I have seen in any other rental in our 15 years of coming to Kauai - this was the first year that we didn\'t have to rent additional beach chairs! My kids also loved the pool, which was surprisingly warm (I don\'t know if it is heated). The lanai was large and very relaxing. We spent more time out there than anywhere else, and it was great for breakfast, remote work time, and dinner. The pictures do not show the outdoor dining set that has been added, so there is now plenty of seating space for everyone to eat meals outside. The view of the golf course was wonderful, and the golfers in our family appreciated the close proximity to the clubhouse. We would rent this house again in a heartbeat. This home was perfect for our family of six with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a huge living/dining/kitchen area and a lovely covered outdoor dining area. It was spotlessly clean and well appointed and in a quiet golf course neighborhood. A few things to be aware of are (1) no air conditioning, which was ok for us in the winter, but might be pretty toasty in the summer, (2) a pull-out sofa bed that was a bit saggy and uncomfortable for an adult to sleep on, but would probably be ok for kids, (3) a bit further than expected from a full-sized grocery store and the beaches--about 15 minutes drive, (4) and lack of nonstick cookware, which made cooking a bit difficult and messy. But despite those small things, I would definitely stay here again. It's actually the loveliest VRBO/holiday rental we've ever had, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Maholo!

The house was great for our group. The host did provide a pack and play which was appreciated! We had a wonderful stay.

Relaxing

The home was very clean and well cared for in all aspects. We've been staying in Princeville since 2002 and this was by the far the most well cared for home. A great kitchen for family meals and the outdoor patio space was used by our group every evening. Not a single item worthy of a negative comment, it was all just perfect!! We will be back!!
