Pau Hana Hale - Private Mini-Resort with Pool

Our family booked the Pau Hana Hale home to celebrate my 50th birthday, and it truly did not disappoint. The home is beautifully situated at the end of a quiet street, offering both privacy and a peaceful setting. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The home is exceptionally well-appointed, with upscale appliances and a fully stocked kitchen that made it easy and enjoyable to prepare many of our meals during our stay. The linens and towels were high-quality, fresh, and added to the overall sense of comfort and luxury. We were genuinely impressed by the level of care and intention that went into preparing this property as a rental. It felt both welcoming and elevated, which made our celebration even more special. The property manager was responsive and helpful in addressing a couple of minor issues. There was a small inconvenience with the air conditioning in two of the bedrooms. Portable units had been installed, but we were not informed in advance that this would limit use of the lanai off the master bedroom, nor were we given guidance on how to operate and maintain the units. That said, the team was quick to assist and resolve any concerns that arose. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and were very impressed with both the property and the management team. We will absolutely return to this location and book with Makana Kauai again. Mahalo for such a memorable stay and for helping us celebrate a special milestone!

A Special Place for a Meaningful CelebrationWe stayed at Pau Hana Hale to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday, and it became part of a milestone our family will never forget.From the moment we arrived, the home felt peaceful and private. Tucked away at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and surrounded by lush green valleys, it offers a true sense of seclusion while still being close to everything Princeville has to offer. The views are beautiful, and the large windows throughout the home make you feel connected to the landscape.The layout worked extremely well for our group. Everyone had their own space and privacy, yet the main living areas were open and comfortable for gathering together. The furnishings, bedding, and finishes feel high quality and well maintained. The kitchen was outstanding, we hosted a private chef for a special dinner, and even he commented on how spacious and well equipped it was.As with any trip, a couple of minor hiccups came up. What impressed us most was how quickly and professionally they were handled. Communication from Makana Kauai Properties was prompt and thoughtful, and Sarah was exceptional throughout. The homeowners also responded with sincerity and generosity. We truly felt cared for.Most importantly, this home gave our family space to slow down and celebrate something special. We would absolutely stay here again and confidently recommend both Pau Hana Hale and Makana Kauai Properties.Mahalo for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic home; had everything we needed. Great setup for large groups.

The house is amazing! HUGE kitchen, great dining and living rooms, fun pool, comfortable bedrooms and very quiet location. The management staff were very responsive to all our questions and requests. The only issues we ran into was the fans and the A/C stopped working on day 2 of our 9 night stay. The management company worked to resolve but were unable to before we left. We also arranged a mid-stay cleaning which the cleaners did a great job but did not restock common items like Kleenex, toilet paper, paper towels or napkins. I have always had those items restocked when doing mid-stay cleanings (which we paid extra for). Small things like that should be included in an extended stay at a luxurious house like the Pau Hana Hale. Please consider this for future guests. Overall, we had an amazing time in Kauai with a very comfortable, relaxing stay in this house. I will (and already have ) recommended the house to others traveling there in 2026.

Could not have asked for a better house in Princeville. This house has everything you need.

Giant home with lots of personality, plenty of space, comfy beds, chefs kitchen, big back yard, and a cozy pool that was fun for the family to hang out at. The backyard was a perfect place to relax after a long day at the beach to unwind. We were at the house for just over a week, so we spent a few days at the house hanging out in-between exploring the island. To this point, the house was great to spend the day at as it does feel like a mini-resort.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful home! The 5-bedroom, 5-bath layout was perfect for our group—everyone had their own space and privacy. The house was incredibly clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. The pool was a highlight, especially for the kids, and the proximity to the ocean made it easy to enjoy beach days without long drives. The neighborhood felt safe and peaceful, and the hosts were incredibly friendly, responsive, and welcoming from start to finish. This property exceeded our expectations in every way—we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended for families or groups looking for the perfect getaway.

Cannot say enough about the accommodations and the customer service. The house was outstanding with everything amenity you could want. The location is very private and quiet. Any questions were answered immediately. Highly recommend.

We were visiting as a family of 8, 2 seniors, 4 adults, and 2 children ages 7 and 10, gathering from 3 corners of the country to celebrate Thanksgiving together. The house was perfect- beautiful, comfortable, pristinely clean and welcoming. A beautiful bouquet of tropical flowers was on the kitchen counter to welcome us. We had a wonderful time- the kids spent most of the time in the pool. There were many little nooks and crannies where adults could go off and read or just relax, listening to the sound of the surf, which could be heard from the balcony. The adults managed to complete 2-1000 piece puzzles during our visit! Great proximity to grocery shopping and restaurants, although we cooked all of our meals in the well equipped kitchen- much easier with the kids! We did order a prepared Thanksgiving meal from Foodland, the local grocery store and everything was delicious. All in all, a wonderful family vacation. The photos online do not do justice to the beauty of this home. Everything went so smoothly, frombooking, to check in, to check out. All in all,a wonderful family vacation. Thank you so much!
