Biking
Several shops on the island offer bike rentals for your use, at hourly or weekly rates. Biking can be a great way to cruise around Hanalei or Princeville or enjoy an afternoon exploring the coast on the beachside path in Kapaa. The gentle beachside path travels about 8 miles between South Kapaa and Kealia Beach. With amazing views and the chance to spot a sea turtle or whale, the trail is a wonderful individual or family activity.
Beach cruisers, tandem bikes, kid’s bikes and child trailers are all available for rent. Some can also be dropped off at your vacation rental home, if rented for multiple days. Helmets are mandatory in Hawai’i and are usually included in the rental cost, along with a bike lock.
